Which personal data we collect

If you visit our site or use our services, the personal information that we may collect directly from you includes your name, telephone number, organization name, title, web domain name, billing address and other billing details such as your tax code or VAT number.

We may also collect personal information such as IP addresses, browser user agents, device information and log information by using cookies when necessary for technical reasons.

With respect to our web hosting services, we will store content that you or third parties upload or sent to web properties that we manage on your behalf. We may also collect IP addresses, browser user-agents, device information and cookies from visitors to your web properties, as required to provide the services you have requested from us and to ensure their safe and reliable operation. For security reasons, we may also collect information about specific actions you take with the use of our services or the services we provide on your behalf; for example, we may record information about authentication attempts or about the modification, creation or removal of content associated with your web services.

For our email services, we collect a list of your email addresses and aliases. Only with your explicit consent, guaranteed on a case-by-case basis, we might access the contents of your email boxes to examine and resolve technical problems.

When required to provide our services, we will share some of your data with third parties. For example, to register a domain name (e.g. mycompany.com) in your name we will need to transfer some personal information (including name, surname, email address, residential address) to one of our partners (the "registrar"), who in turn will forward them to the competent authority. In these cases, we will inform you and ask for your consent before the data transmission, giving you all the information regarding which data will be transmitted, the partners involved and their use.

How we use the personal data we collect

We use this information to:

• Provide you with our services and to maintain, operate and improve our services;
• Ensure the security and reliability of our services, including detecting, preventing and responding to fraud, abuse, security risks, technical problems that can harm Idiomatic, you, your users or the public;
• To provide you with our customer service including technical support and troubleshooting and, at your choice, to contact you with updates to our services or information that we think may be of interest to you;
• Comply with our legal obligations, for example assisting governments and law enforcement or regulatory bodies (as required by law);
• Conduct internal analyses and measurements to understand how our services are used.

How we keep your data

We securely store your data on servers managed by us. We also store encrypted copies of your data on cloud storage services operated by non-European organizations, including Amazon Web Services, Inc. and Backblaze, Inc. (Upon request, we will send you a list of all our partners and the exact location of your archives). Access to this data is always protected by cryptographic keys or multi-factor authentication. No other organization or agent, except us, has access to these servers and archives.

We will keep your data for as long as necessary to provide our services, or as long as you request. If you ask us to terminate our services explicitly, we will delete your data in 14 days. If your services expire without your intervention (e.g. due to a non-payment), we will keep a copy of your data for up to one year after the termination of the services. Of course, you can ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will comply in 14 days.

Due to legal obligations, we have to keep some of your personal data for a longer period of time. For example, to comply with tax laws in France we have to keep our accounting data for 6 years. If you have carried out any transaction with us, this data will contain your name, surname, billing address and in some cases your tax code or VAT number. This data is securely stored and will not be processed in any way except to comply with legal obligations. Please note that we may use an anonymised version of this data to conduct internal tax analysis.

On our website we use different types of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies. We use this type of cookie to recognize you on our website, validating and authenticating your requests. We may also use cookies (including third-party cookies, by Cloudflare, Inc.) to prevent abuses and protect from cyber attacks. To collect this type of data, we use solutions managed directly by us, so your data is not passed on to third parties.

In case of violation of your rights, you can lodge a complaint with any personal data protection supervisory authority. Every Member State of the European Union has at least one supervisory authority. In France, the personal data protection supervisory authority is the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés, www.cnil.fr) and in Italy it is the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data (www.garanteprivacy. it).
